When will I hear from the schools about my applications ?

Most institutions announce their admission decisions between June 15 and September 15. This can be inconvenient, because you may have less than a month to prepare for your trip! CampusFrance's close working relations with many institutions can help prevent this sort of problem.

If you choose to apply and enroll through CampusFrance, we will send you the letter of admission that you'll need when you apply for your student visa. If you handle your applications yourself, the institution that accepts you will send you the letter.

You complete your enrollment only after arriving in France. At that time, like all other students, you will register for courses in a series of administrative and academic steps.

When you register, your school will give you a receipt for your tuition payment and a student ID card. Together, these documents establish your legal status as a student. Registration must be done in person and is considered complete only after tuition is paid in full. Once an institution has accepted you, it is required to hold a place for you through the end of registration day.
