1. New service: Student on-line registration

The Student on-line registration, a new service launched by the French Embassy in India, is aimed to simplify the procedure for Indians students wishing to pursue higher studies in France. Each student is assured to be guided in his study project till the visa is issued. CampusFrance takes care of the on-line processing of the student's file in order to considerably quicken the steps for obtaining the student visa. The CampusFrance website now offers:
• A unique window for pedagogical and consular procedures
• A personalized space to quickly communicate with a student's counselor
• A streamlined process for checking the candidate's file progress at any time
• A direct contact with French Colleges providing a better evaluation and enhancement of the candidate's file
• An interview to obtain a "No Objection Certificate" (NOC), which optimizes the possibility to obtain a visa
• A stay permit for the first year of studies

2. Online student registration mandatory

The on-line registration is obligatory for Indian citizens - or foreigners residing in India - wishing to pursue higher studies in France.

* Students planning to go to France for a short stay (i.e. an entrance exam, examination, interview) or students going there for a professional internship during the course of their studies, are exempted from the on-line CampusFrance procedure.

3. Procedure to obtain a student visa 

● First Step: On-line registration:  The registration is free but this is an obligatory step to initiate the visa process. An email address is sufficient to sign up. An email containing an identification number and other information for continuing the procedure will be sent via email immediately following the on-line registration. Information related to previous studies, study projects, potential professional experiences as well as a candidates French language skills have to be indicated in order to better orient each candidate.  Register here

● Second step : Payment for application. Each student is required to pay a fee of 4000 Roupees, to be paid by a demand draft drawn in favor of “CEDUST”, payable in Delhi. Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

● Third step : Activation of the personal space on the website. On this secured personal space, each student will be able to track the advancement of their file and communicate with a designated counselor in order to obtain information and advice.

● Fourth Step: Sending the paper file. The paper file must be dispatched to the nearest CampusFrance Desk, close to student's place of residence. The complete list of required documents and the locations of all Campus France Desks are available on the website http://www.india.EduFrance.org...

● Fifth step: Making an appointment for an interview to obtain a "No Objection Certificate" (NOC). Once the on-line registration is complete, an appointment can also be made on-line from the student's log-in space The interview can be conducted in either English or French, depending on the candidate, and will last around 20 minutes. The interview topics will include the academic course, the student's motivation and the professional project, etc. *It is important to bring all original documents required for verification purposes.

● Sixth Step: Obtaining a student visa. The procedure is explained in detail on the website. The French Consulate is the final authority regarding accepting of refusing the visa application.
